NA MAN YOU BE!

A typical way classic Nigerians give accolades specifically to men, for either getting married to more than one wife, giving birth to a set of twins or exemplifying traits of toxic masculinity.

For this collection, OSHOBOR aims to take back these accolades, giving it to men and women who play EXEMPLARY FATHER FIGURE roles.
The phrase NA MAN YOU BE and the impact it has, including past and present experiences inspired this collection.

In creating this collection, OSHOBOR Odion Peter; the creative director explores the feeling of appreciation. In his words; “if person good, make we tell am say e good! This subtle act of appreciation led me to telling this story through the visual art of high end indigenous menswear fashion. I go down a memory lane as I recollect occasions, elements, stories and individuals whom I see play these role perfectly effortlessly.
In a bid to accentuate our brand ethos and vision, traditional and emotional elements are fused. Elements like the OJA used by mostly Yoruba mothers and ISI AGWU which is synonymous to typical Igbo men especially their chiefs.
